Jimmy Horzen was born and raised in Fontana, California. Horzen, with Slovenian roots, began his musical journey with accordion lessons at the age of six. Two years later, the 8-year old Horzen made his television debut - with America's Polka King, Frank Yankovic. At the age of 10 he was featured with Lawrence Welk at the Hollywood Palladium. Through the years Jimmy has entertained at every conceivable venue: from small clubs to weddings to national conventions...from Oktoberfests to polka festivals to ballroom dancing to the House of Blues. Jimmy worked as a full-time staff musician for 19 years at EPCOT's German Pavilion in Orlando, Florida. He has performed on more than 15 CD's and has just recorded a new "All Button Box, All Slovenian" CD. Currently Jimmy performs with Eckhard Wachsmuth Thursday through Sunday at Hollerbach's Willow Tree Cafe in Sanford, Florida (see "Performance Calendar"). Jimmy also performs as a one-man band or with larger ensembles (duo, trio, band), as needed. Contact Jimmy to arrange live entertainment for your next special event.
